Gus the Senior Dog
Gus was up for adoption at Sac County with no takers when I was called
to pick him up for the Dachshund Rescue group that I work with. This little senior boy had
arthritis and a wobbly gait, but he met me with a big Dachsie smile. I knew we could find him
a good home.
Well, Gus came home with me and Gus decided he was home to stay. Although he still
has a bit of a wobble, his arthritis is in check and he is flourishing. This happy little boy
has brought much joy into our home with his sunny personality and sweet disposition. I know some
people shy away from the seniors, but they just don’t realize what they are missing!
