King’s Story

Photograph of a dog named King. King came to our family from the County Animal Shelter around 2002. A Good Samaritan named Chuck brought a litter of puppies home with him in hopes of finding them all a good home. As the puppies got older, Chuck started taking them to some of his soccer meets to encourage adoptions.

During this time, he found homes for all the puppies except one, King. Chuck decided to keep him and the bonding began. King is a very happy Black Labrador and has a wonderful loving personality and demeanor. He is so gentle and sweet you can't help but stop and pet him when you walk by. He is always a big hit when company comes over and the small children look for the “big dog.”

King has many wonderful qualities and howls every night at bedtime as Chuck taught him to do. King has become our personal favorite and a wonderful companion for our entire family. He is an excellent watch- dog and a great teacher to his little dog friend. Now 13 years later, King still sits at the feet of his master and howls at sundown.
